Periodic special service of automatic transmission
Taking care of the car increases the useful life of the parts and affects their correct operation. Car gearbox, as the most important part after the engine, is one of the parts that must be serviced periodically to prevent possible breakdowns. The cost of regular car automatic transmission service is significantly lower than the cost of repairing it, and this issue can be a convincing reason to service your car's automatic transmission every once in a while.
The importance of periodic automatic transmission service
The gearbox is responsible for transferring the power produced by the engine to the wheels so that the driver can move the car. Inside the gearbox, there are many parts and gears that must work in harmony to transfer energy and acceleration to the wheels. During this process, these parts are heated and small pieces may be separated from them. These particles are known as policemen among repairmen. With these particles entering the gearbox oil and rotating the oil between the parts, there is a high possibility that these particles will get stuck between the gears and affect their performance. For this reason, it is usually recommended to change the gearbox oil every few months.
In the periodical service of the automatic transmission, in addition to replacing the washer, the parts in the transmission are also checked. Since the gearbox is a piece with a complex mechanism and has many sensitive parts; The presence of defects in any of these parts affects the performance of the gearbox and, as a result, the performance of the car.
What items are checked in the automatic transmission periodic service?
When you go to a specialized gearbox repair shop for your car's automatic transmission service, the repairman will check some things and fix them.
The first is the gearbox oil. As mentioned above, the Vaskazin oil in the gearbox is contaminated due to small parts being separated from the gears inside the gearbox. The repairman should clean the gearbox from the old Waskazin oil using a cleaning solution. For this, he pours some of this solution into the gearbox and then starts the car for a few minutes. In this way, dirty and old oil accumulates inside the gearbox. After that, the technician removes the oil and solution from the gearbox using a special device and pours the new oil into the gearbox.
